Why did you start running?
For the usual "challenge between friends," with a stroke of the country, then I got to take my hand ...
Why did you become vegan?
initially for health reasons. I was 37y.o. and I no longer felt good, I was always tired. I read that many nutritionists advised against eating meat and then I contacted a naturopath, the same opinion, and I followed his advice. Today for me is like a religion or philosophy, for me is the "do not kill."
What is the best thing in sports?
When you run and you do not chase and not be chased. This applies to non-specific workouts, but if you need special training to do then you sweat more.
the worst?
In the race itself saw no one in particular that I like and I am not obliged to do so!
Ma. One thing I hate is being "bottled" among participants, does not participate in marathons just because there are too many people can not stand to be "bottled" in the marathon in New York, for example.
Then the really rough terrain and steep slopes are not my favorite, even though the track I like even less.
One thing is very unfair to the stakes races, unfortunately to which few people can pay € 3000 to attend the Sand Marathon. These fees are really exaggerated, especially with my board that places me among the "new poor". And I do not have sponsors who pay their subscriptions.
What is your best race and why?
usually remembered as the best in a race which was won. It is precisely why, but for me it corresponds to the first Desert Cup (2000, 168 km through the desert of the Jordan River) to I attended, the thing that impressed me was the cheering of the people (rare to see in these events) during the transition in the villages with the people gathered, urging them to me. Then that has won, as the second three is even better!
What is the best thing about being vegan?
You become wiser. You do not kill animals.
the worst?
Here is cut off from society. If you go to a restaurant and orders a plate of pasta look at you wrong ... but usually one gets along with a plate of pasta and salad.
What do you eat for breakfast?
Depends if I have to leave early like 3:30 - 4 long when I do, I do not eat first, began after two hours. During this time I drink a cup of tea or cocoa, with bread.
How do you load before a race / training hard?
Nothing special also because I do not do many specific training. But a few races before the tea and guarana in some energy bar ... I am not a secret, except that I could not even afford medicines in thousands of euro!
Before a race I do 2 or 3 days off, running only about fifty minutes.
Do you have a favorite recipe?
potato gnocchi, porcini mushrooms breaded, when it's time for mushrooms!
But I think there are too many delusions about what and how much you must eat a lot ... years ago, people were healthier, although there was little food was good .. Certainly, it ruined the first because of the difficult living conditions and working.
